Writing And Presenting At Your Best: An Overview

Semester: Spring
|
Year offered: 2020

This seminar gives students the basic skills to begin a first draft, including writing a precis, finding a model for your paper, gathering and organizing evidence, shaping a good thesis question, and employing good editing skills.

These valuable writing skills can be used to begin any piece of source-based nonfiction, whether in the realm of business, science, social sciences, or humanities.

We will include Q & A time and end with a shift toward presenting one’s piece from an academic paper to a piece that can be presented in person or on the web.
